Vitura Health has appointed former chief financial officer Tom Howitt as interim CFO following the departure of Andrew Cook, who left the firm last week after just four months in the role.

Tom Howitt.

Howitt previously served as the company’s CFO for seven years before resigning last October.

He will work alongside Vitura’s new chief executive Justin James – who started at the firm on June 1 – while a search for a permanent finance chief continues.

The company said Howitt’s familiarity with Vitura’s operations would help ensure “continuity” during the transition period.

Vitura also revealed that Cook left the company before the end of his probationary period after being headhunted for a role that presented a “unique professional opportunity”.

It acknowledged the timing was “not ideal” but said it respected his decision.

Vitura last week confirmed the exit of chief revenue office Ryan Tattle.
