Longitudinal study of medicinal cannabis patients the QUEST Initiative has completed baseline recruitment, with 3,365 patients screened and 2,804 agreeing to participate.

The Quality of life Evaluation Study (QUEST), funded by Little Green Pharma, examines quality-of-life outcomes in patients prescribed medicinal cannabis.

Information on mobility, functionality, pain/discomfort, anxiety, depression, medication requirements and ongoing health costs will be collected and analysed.

Initial results are expected in May/June this year, with final results due in the first half of 2023. 

Medlab Clinical

Medlab Clinical has received a NSW Government grant to develop a ‘no-jab’ vaccine solution for Covid-19 using its patented NanoCelle sub-micron delivery platform.

Medlab will collaborate with the University of NSW and MacQuarie University to develop a proof-of-concept nasal RNA vaccine as part of Australia’s ongoing fight against Covid-19.

CEO Dr Sean Hall said: “The ability to prove efficacious delivery of vaccines without the ‘jab’ is a serious game-changer to modern medicine – we are thrilled to be part of this and welcome the potential commercial opportunities ahead.”

Roto-Gro International

ASX-listed agritech company Roto-Gro International has partnered with Singapore-based industrial biotech CannAcubed to roll out a cannabis cultivation facility in Thailand.

CannAcubed plans to develop CBD-infused beverages and a biotech cannabis cancer treatment hub in the country.

Roto-Gro CEO Michael Di Tommaso told Stockhead: “Our partnership with CannAcubed is a great stepping stone into Thailand and opens doors to other potential projects throughout the region.”
