Cannim Group has completed the acquisition of UK wellness retailer and distributor Savage Cabbage in a cash-and-shares deal.
Founded in 2016, Savage Cabbage serves customers in more than 40 countries with full-spectrum CBD products using organically grown hemp. Its range is available online and in-store with new UK retailers to be announced soon.
Cannim, which has been working with Savage Cabbage since the beginning of the year, described the acquisition as a “significant milestone” for the firm, “strategically positioning it in the UK and European markets with a proven, talented team”.
Savage Cabbage founder and CEO Jade Proudman will continue in the role and work with the Cannim team to accelerate the growth of the business worldwide.
Proudman said: “Cannim already feels a natural home for the brand that my family and I have carefully grown, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter of a journey that has brought me and my loyal customers out of pain and ill health into a place of endless possibility.”
Cannim Group CCO Stuart Marsh added: “We are delighted to be bringing Savage Cabbage and its talented team into our international group.
“Jade’s authentic story stands for everything that Cannim values: people that care, creating quality products and ensuring patients get the therapies and treatment they need at a price that’s fair.”
