A report into workplace drug testing in Victoria has tabled seven recommendations for the government to consider as newly released data revealed for the first time the growth in the number of medicinal cannabis patients in the state.

The 80-page report follows an inquiry in May which heard how workers are losing their jobs after testing positive for THC despite holding a prescription and with no apparent signs of impairment.
