US-based cannabis company MariMed celebrated National Brownie Day on Wednesday by creating what it claims is the “largest THC-infused brownie ever made”.

The company took to Twitter to reveal the massive brownie which contains 20,000 milligrams of THC and weighs 385.5 kilograms (measuring 91.4cm x 91.4cm).

The treat was baked by five people in a large commercial oven at MariMed’s manufacturing facility in Massachusetts and, besides cannabis, includes 1,344 eggs, 113kg of sugar, 96kg of butter, 2.4kg of vanilla extract, 36kg of flour, 900g of baking powder, 1.3kg of salt, and 55kg of cocoa powder.

According to USA Today, this attempt shatters the previous world record brownie of 110kg recorded in the Guinness World Records.

However, MariMed’s chief product officer Ryan Crandall said Guinness refused to recognised its effort.

“Unfortunately, Guinness World Records rejected our entry because they don’t accept cannabis-related records.

“That was a disappointment, but we’re still very proud of what we accomplished.”

The creation was made to promote the launch of MariMeds new ‘Bubby’s Baked’ cannabis-infused brownie line.
