EXCLUSIVE: New guidelines for advertising medical cannabis are being drawn up by the Therapeutic Goods Administration in a move the industry hopes will bring clarity to what firms can and cannot do in their promotional and marketing activity.

It will be the first time the TGA has amended its guidelines for almost four years and comes amid ongoing frustration over its approach to upholding current rules.
