This week’s virtual Consumer Electronics Show saw the unveiling of a new cannabis vape device which enables users to adjust their dose by the milligram.

Mode has a touch slider with which users can adjust their dose and precision sensors to determine how much is being inhaled. The device vibrates to notify users when to stop inhaling and when to exhale and can be locked to keep it safe from children.

Initially designed for medicinal use, the companion app features a dashboard where users can access dosage plans, product information, feedback, recommendations and consumption data.

Mode co-founder and co-CEO Izzy Kirsh said: “We initially set out to solve the dosing dilemma for people requiring cannabis to treat injuries, ailments and other health-related matters.

“We built dozens of prototypes to deliver vapor doses by the milligram, perfecting consumption levels down to a rudimentary science of what cannabinoids and dosages are required to achieve the right results.

“What we ultimately created is a first-of-its-kind device that offers more control and a better experience for all cannabis users.”

Mode retails for US$100 and is available for preorder on its website. Shipping will commence in H1 2021.
