Dr Teresa Nicoletti and Justin Sinclair have been re-elected to the board of the Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association with two new faces joining the ranks.

The re-elected duo will be joined by founder and managing director of Medical Cannabis Australia (MCA), Sharon Bentley, and Astrid Dispensary founder and chief executive, Lisa Nguyen, who will become first-time board members.

They replace Emily Rigby and Jodie Davis, who established AMCA sub-groups Australian Cannabis Cultivators and Australian Cannabis Nurses Association respectively. Both announced their intention to step down ahead of the last week’s AGM.

Both Nicoletti and Sinclair – an AMCA founding director and Australian Natural Therapeutics Group chief scientific officer – were e-elected by the membership after agreeing to stand again.

Board positions will be determined at the next meeting in July.

The quartet will join Fiona Patten, Professor Nick Lintzeris and Austranna chief executive Bryan Ebstyne on the board.

Dr Peter Georgius is currently on a leave of absence but also retains his seat.
