Playboy’s new CBD-based range, called CBD by Playboy, is designed to close the ‘orgasm gap’ in the US.

The range includes a CBD-based intimacy gel that has broad-spectrum water-soluble CBD powder in it, as well as maca root and horny goat weed.

There is also a CBD-based arousal spray that has broad spectrum phytocannabinoid-rich hemp oil, kava kava and vitamin B3 as key ingredients and a CBD-based bath bomb.

Playboy’s rationale for expanding its range to include CBD-based products is recent independent scientific research which found that 85 per cent of men climaxed the last time they had sex compared to just 64 per cent of women, and that 95 per cent of heterosexual men in the US reported they usually or always orgasmed during sex, compared to just 65 per cent of heterosexual women.

Playboy sex and culture editor Anita Little said: “Our ambition at Playboy is to help everybody and every body explore and pursue pleasure. While Playboy helped usher in the first sexual revolution, there’s more work to do to ensure all can access pleasure.

“We know women in particular experience orgasm less frequently than their male sexual partners. The launch of our new CBD by Playboy line, and our larger assortment of sexual wellness products, are part of our continued effort to help close the orgasm gap. Our aim is to provide everyone with the knowledge – and now also the sexual wellness products they need – to have the most fulfilling sexual experiences possible,” added Little.
