The Office of Drug Control has taken an average of 16 months to assess medicinal cannabis licence applications since 2022, with only one hitting the agency’s internal target of nine months, data has shown.
The fastest assessment undertaken by the ODC took eight and a half months over 182 business days between late September 2022 and mid June 2023.
