The Sydney session of the NSW Drug Summit got off to an underwhelming start today (Wednesday) when the government ruled out decriminalising possession of small quantities of drugs for personal use.
Despite calls to do so from bodies including Harm Reduction Australia and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, minister for health Ryan Park told reporters the government did not have a mandate for the move.
