A judgment in the long-running legal dispute between the Therapeutic Goods Administration and CDA Clinics Queensland and a former director will be delivered at an unspecified later date.
Final submissions were made to Justice Collier at the Federal Court of Queensland at the end of April, bringing an end to proceedings first lodged by the TGA in December 2023.
But in an update to the court file, judgment will be “reserved”, meaning it will be deferred and delivered at a future date.

The health regulator launched legal action against Vitura subsidiary CDA Clinics QLD and its former director Ben Jansen over alleged advertising breaches dating back to 2021.
The offences alleged by the TGA related to material on the website and Facebook page of CDA Express, a now-defunct business launched by CDA Clinics in April 2021.
Vitura placed CDA Clinics QLD in voluntary administration in January 2025 and stopped funding the defence.
Jansen represented himself during the final hearing on April 22, telling the court there was no more money for lawyers.
Nexalis Therapeutics
Nexalis Therapeutics – formerly InhaleRx – has completed dosing in its Phase 1 clinical trial of IRX-616a, the firm’s inhaled CBD formulation being developed as a rapid treatment for acute panic and anxiety episodes.
It follows on from last month’s announcement that the firm had dosed the first cohort in the study, with all patients in the Phase 1 trial now having completed dosing.

The clinical-stage biotech reported no serious adverse events during the trial and said it had now moved into final data analysis ahead of Phase 2 planning.
Chief executive Darryl Davies said the completion of dosing was a “significant achievement” and an important step in advancing IRX-616a.
