Althea Group Holdings (AGH) has appointed Brian Mbesha as its new chief financial officer following the departure of previous incumbent Robert Meisner in December.
Mbesha, who starts work with AGH next month, will be based at the group’s Peak Processing Solutions facility in Ontario, its North American operational headquarters.
He has held senior financial roles at Driven Brands and Linamar Corporation, as well as leadership roles at KPMG International and Deloitte Canada.
AGH said Mbesha has “a proven track record of improving profitability through financial systems optimisation, cost control, and operational efficiency”.
CEO Joshua Fegan added: “[Brian’s] experience in contract manufacturing, North American operations, and financial performance improvement will bring immediate value as we continue scaling the business.”
Last week, AGH announced it was selling its Australian pharmaceutical assets to Tasmanian Botanics to focus on the North American THC beverage sector.
United in Compassion Symposium
The Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association (AMCA) has confirmed that the 2026 United in Compassion Symposium will be held between February 26 and 28 in Brisbane.
The three-day event will return to the Royal International Convention Centre at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
