King will take on the role of global PR director at Bon Charge, which focuses on sleep, beauty and recovery technology products, while Phillips has been appointed as the firm’s chief marketing officer.

King said: “Leaving the industry was an incredibly difficult decision to make – and made so much more difficult because of all the phenomenally passionate and talented people who remain at Montu.

“I am extremely proud of how far we’ve collectively come, and all that we’ve been able to champion – and already change – for Aussie patients, even though there is so much more work to do to eliminate the stigma of medical cannabis use.

“Even though I’ll be cheering from the sidelines, I have never in my life been prouder to have been a fundamental part of something so critically important to hundreds of thousands of people.

“I know I’m leaving Montu in great hands, and can’t wait for all the positive things yet to come.”

Montu has yet to announce replacements for King and Phillips.
