Montu has been named by Deloitte as Australia’s fastest growing technology business for the second year running.

Revenue growth of 9,616% over the last three years saw Montu declared the winner of the 2023 Deloitte Tech Fast 50, the first time a company has won the award in two consecutive years.

Cannatrek was 11th on the list with 895% growth.

Montu managing director Christopher Strauch said: “This win is a testament to how we… have a singular focus on improving affordability and accessibility for patients within this increasingly in-demand industry.

“To be named the fastest growing organisation in Australia – let alone two years in a row, which is a first for any company – is an incredible honour.

“Through refining and streamlining our platforms, we can continue to focus on putting our patients first, even as demand continues to rise.”

Montu said it saw demand for prescriptions almost double last quarter, despite ongoing stigma surrounding the medicine.

Strauch added: “Unfortunately, there are still social barriers to people accessing these vital medicines. We are pushing for change at the highest level, as there is no reason we should be treating medical cannabis differently to any other prescription medication.”
