Montu cites ‘confused’ TGA guidelines and argues alleged breaches were ‘divorced from their context’

Examples of Montu’s alleged breaches of the advertising regulations have been taken out of context, the company has argued, as it described the health regulator’s guidance to the industry as confusing and inconsistent.

In documents filed with the Federal Court earlier this month, Montu and Alternaleaf said content published on websites and social media platforms, and cited by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) as allegedly breaking the rules, were “selectively extracted” and “divorced from their context”.
