Fresh guidelines for telehealth practitioners have been published by the Medical Board of Australia (MBA), with the body confirming that prescribing without a real-time consultation “is not good practice”.

After a five-month consultation, the MBA said the updated guidelines will “close the gap that’s sprung up between online prescribing business models and good medical practice”.
