New Zealand medicinal cannabis summit MedCan has released the full agenda for its 2021 event to be held on October 12-13 in Auckland.
The two-day conference will include an industry stream, science stream and a one-day healthcare professionals forum and be available to digital delegates as well as those attending in person.
The industry stream features an international keynote address from California-based Canna Centers Wellness and Education medical director Bonnie Goldstein, who will discuss new developments in cannabis medicine.
She will be joined by Cann Group CEO Peter Crock, who will offer a glimpse into the journey of bringing a product to market and the challenges and barriers in making this a reality.
The science stream will feature Bod Australia chief scientific officer Dr Adele Hosseini discussing the challenges in running and supplying clinical trials.
Australian Centre for Cannabinoid Clinical and Research Excellence (ACRE) clinical trial manager Dr Rachel Galettis will also give an overview of the current clinical trials space and what’s required to produce the evidence needed for product registration in Australia.
Building off last year’s inaugural event, the summit brings together medicine, science, industry and technology to capture the diversity of the medicinal cannabis field.
