Cannabis consumption lounges are set to join the entertainment offerings available in Las Vegas after Nevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board approved licensing and operation regulations this week.
The move follows months of public meetings and workshops after the state’s lawmakers approved a bill to authorise lounges last year.
There will be two categories of licence – retail for lounges attached to a cannabis store, and independent for those not next to or attached to any sales facility.
Limits will be set on the number of lounges by county and city governments.
