Lambert Initiative academic director Iain McGregor has joined the board of the Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association (AMCA).
The association’s co-founder and chair Lucy Haslam said AMCA was “absolutely thrilled” to have someone of McGregor’s experience and expertise join its ranks.
Haslam has a long relationship with McGregor having invited him to participate at the first United In Compassion Symposium in Tamworth in 2014.
“Professor McGregor is a highly respected contributor to the field of medicinal cannabis and AMCA is delighted that he will help to steer the organisation as it continues to work towards more available and affordable access for patients,” AMCA said.
Along with his role with the Lambert Initiative, McGregor is Professor of Psychopharmacology at the Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney.
