Industry leaders will gather in London next month to discuss cannabis developments across Europe as the market looks set to exceed €1.5 billion in 2027.

Cannabis Europa, produced by Prohibition Partners, will take place at The Barbican on May 26 and 27 with a line-up of European and international speakers.

The conference comes at a key moment for the market as regulatory frameworks mature, institutional capital increases, and consolidation reshapes the competitive landscape.

“Cannabis Europa exists because the industry’s most consequential conversations require the right room,” Cannabis Europa co-founder Stephen Murphy said. ‘The London 2026 programme reflects where the European market genuinely stands — more sophisticated than ever before, consolidating, and demanding rigorous analysis.”

Cannabiz, the media partner for the event, will be reporting from London.

The conference will bring together more than 70 speakers, including regulators, investors, clinicians and operators, for debate, panel discussions and presentations.

Confirmed speakers include former member of the German Bundestag, Kristine Lütke; co-founder of Brewdog – the brewery acquired by Tilray – Martin Dickie; former communications director of the Trump Transition Team, Bryan Lanza; Medbud.wiki strategy director Tim Henley and Hystelica chief science officer Dr Grace Blest-Hopley.

Other speakers include senior figures from Fieldfisher, Saul Ewing LLP, Transform Drug Policy Foundation and the Geneva Institute.

Day one opens with a ‘state of play’ session on the UK market, asking whether it can move from “caution to action” after nearly eight years of limited NHS access to medical cannabis.

A panel on UN drug policy and international law follows, examining whether incremental progress under the 1961 Single Convention is sufficient or whether meaningful patient access is required.

There are also sessions on workplace and driving law complexities, regulatory issues in Germany and price compression.

The conference closes with a panel debating whether Europe’s medical cannabis market is making a definitive shift from flower to pharmaceutical-grade formats.

In addition to the main stage, a secondary Greenhouse Hall will run parallel sessions on both days, while the event will feature an expanded exhibition floor.

Meanwhile, the 2026 Business of Cannabis Awards will be presented on the main stage on May 26, recognising the companies, clinicians and advocates driving the industry forward.

A VIP programme will also run across both days, comprising exclusive morning breakfasts, private networking, dedicated meeting rooms and awards reception access.
