The medicinal cannabis industry descends on Melbourne for the ACannabis conference next week with organisers stressing there has “never been a more important time” for the sector to come together.
The gathering will see three days of business sessions, kicking off with an advisory and compliance day on Monday, followed by two days of discussion, debate and presentations on August 11 and 12.
The event takes place at the Crowne Promenade. Tickets are still available and by entering the code CANNABIZ10, Cannabiz subscribers can save 10% on the cost of two and three-day packages.
The conference will be the first since Medicinal Cannabis Industry Australia and the Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association merged to form Medicinal Cannabis Council Australia.
Organisers said: “There has never been a more important time for our sector to come together.
“It will bring together regulators, healthcare professionals, researchers, manufacturers, cultivators, pharmacies, clinics and industry leaders for three days of education, discussion and collaboration.”
In what is gearing up to be a big week for the industry, the Cannabiz Awards also takes place next week at the Plaza Ballroom.
Tickets for the presentation – to be hosted again by stand-up comic Katie Wainhouse – are available here.
The theme for this year’s conference – now in its seventh year – is ‘cultivating trust, navigating change’, a nod to the evolving nature of the industry and the critical need to restore confidence after a bruising 18 months.
