With the first entry deadline for the Cannabiz Awards for Australia and New Zealand 2026 fast approaching, we thought we’d remind you what it takes to write an award-winning submission.

In a webinar recorded for last year’s event, industry consultants and long-time awards judges Cassandra Hunt, Clare Barker and Rhys Cohen joined Cannabiz co-founder Martin Lane to discuss the key things they are looking for when deciding the winners.

If you’re planning on entering the awards, you’ll find a host of handy tips and tricks covered in the conversation below.

The first entry deadline is midnight on Friday, May 22, after which late-entry fees apply.

Meanwhile, we are delighted to welcome Montu as our latest awards sponsor. As a gold partner, the firm will host one of an exclusive number of VIP tables during the presentation ceremony on August 11.

Montu Australia CEO Myles Lawlor said: “The Cannabiz Awards shine a light on the clinicians, pharmacists, suppliers and advocates who have pioneered access to care and have fundamentally changed what healthcare access looks like for Australians.

“Montu is proud to stand behind that standard, continuing our sponsorship of the Cannabiz Awards in 2026, affirming our belief in the people who show up for patients at their most vulnerable.”
