Drive Change has launched a letter-writing campaign ahead of a government roundtable at the end of March.

The drug-driving campaign group is encouraging patients, healthcare workers, and industry professionals to share their personal medicinal cannabis story with their local MP and help explain why the laws must change.

The Drive Change website gives users the option of sending an email, digitised letter, or both. The group said the community reaching out directly was the best way for medicinal cannabis patients to speak out against discriminatory laws and ask for the rights they deserve.

As a follow up to the open-letter campaign, a national roundtable on March 29 will facilitate education on drug-driving laws for MPs and government officials in a private forum.

Meanwhile, the group’s petition on change.org calling for an end to discriminatory drug-driving laws has gone past 20,000 signatories.
