The Facebook page and website of a company promoting Hubba Bubba-flavoured cannabis vape products have been taken down as the health regulator ponders “the most appropriate regulatory action” against the firm.

The website of Ethically Advanced could no longer be accessed this afternoon while a message on its Facebook page said content is no longer available.

TikTok, where adverts for the products originally appeared, earlier banned the account after being alerted to the content by The Guardian.

Ethically Advanced had been selling vapes containing CBD under the brand Temple CBD Australia.

According to reports, the company was not checking for ID and did not ask for prescriptions.

Its website made unproven claims saying the products helped treat arthritic pain, anxiety, depression, fatigue and insomnia.

The company also claimed that a portion of every sale was being donated to Mind Medicine Australia.

But the charity’s chairman, Peter Hunt, said it had not received a cent, adding he had “no idea who this organisation is”.

“We are not associating ourselves with them in any way,” he told The Guardian. “As an organisation we are focused on the use of legal medicines within our medical system and we do not advocate in any way for people to take substances that are prohibited by law.

“We are against any marketing of substances that is aimed at children in this way.”

Along with an investigation by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), chocolate manufacturer Mars, which makes Hubba Bubba chewing gum, said it is considering legal action.
