Vosper will serve as vice-president, taking over from Margaret River Hemp Co’s Georgina Wilkinson who remains on the body’s executive committee. Marlene Hargreaves will replace Kovess as secretary.

Arthur Wajs continues as treasurer with Kevin Wortes, Dr Mary Cole and Darren Christie elected to the committee.

Dr Omid Ansari will remain honorary research director, assisting the committee with technical and scientific input.

Vosper said: “I want to express my gratitude for the privilege of serving this incredible association as president. Since our inception we have achieved significant milestones and faced challenges together.

“Charles Kovess has a commitment to our mission and a clear vision for the future. His standing in the Australian and global hemp industry is evidence of this.

“Many of the obstacles that we face are tied to regulations that deter investment and Charles is uniquely qualified to tackle this.

“I am excited about the future of the AIHA and our industry, and I look forward to continuing my involvement as a dedicated executive committee member.”
