CDA Health has launched CanView, Australia’s first online medicinal cannabis marketplace for pharmacists making it easier, cheaper and quicker to place orders.

Price variations between producers, differing state regulations and limited training have combined to make filling prescriptions for medical cannabis overly complicated according to CanView.

General Manager Rachael Cooney said:  “We found there was limited transparency from suppliers on product availability and pricing as well as having no way for pharmacists to compare between similar products.

“There is too much confusing and contradictory information for pharmacists, different
dosing guidelines, different ways of presenting product
information and various
interpretations of the rules.”

“As the industry has grown, the number of suppliers has grown as well, meaning pharmacists were having to manage multiple accounts and order from multiple locations, all with different layouts and processes.

“By working closely with our national network of pharmacies, we’ve been able to design and build CanView to solve each one of those concerns and allow them to save valuable time and better serve their customers.”

As well as online ordering, CanView provides pharmacists with updates on regulations and legislation and educational resources.

“There is too much confusing and contradictory information for pharmacists, different dosing guidelines, different ways of presenting product information and various interpretations of the rules,” Cooney added.

“We aim to cut through all of the misinformation to provide a clear understanding of the access pathways and costs associated for all people.”
