Cannabiz has strengthened its writing team with the hire of Hannah Adler in the newly created role of editorial coordinator.

Adler is a PhD student at Griffith University whose research focuses on the ‘mediatisation’ of medicinal cannabis in Australia, and the impact this has on both the medical community and patients.

Adler also holds first class honours in communication and has experience in public relations, specialising in social media management.

Her honours thesis, “The grassroots of medicinal Cannabis in Australia: a narrative inquiry of strategic communication”, investigates how three advocates used strategic communication in the campaign for legalisation.

In her new role, Adler will contribute news, features and analysis for the Cannabiz website and weekly newsletter and report on industry events.
