An ABC report exposing alleged examples of inappropriate prescribing must not be allowed to undermine the positive work of the wider medicinal cannabis sector, including clinics, industry leaders have insisted.
Amid more bruising national coverage over the ease of accessing high-THC products – this time on the public broadcaster’s 7.30 Report on Monday night – trade associations acknowledged the valid issues raised in the program, but said they should not overshadow the “significant benefits” many Australians receive from the medicine.
