The Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA) has launched a new policy report into Australian drug laws citing international examples of success, growing public support and the clear failure of current laws as proof the time is right for reform.
Criminal justice spokesperson for the ALA Greg Barns said: “We need to legalise and regulate drug use in Australia to save lives. Australia’s ‘war on drugs’ has been lost and people are dying because of the failures of our system.
