The Australian Cannabis Summit is running for the third time on November 26-27, streaming online from Brisbane.

More than 20 experts will be speaking at the free event, with CANNect Group director of clinical operations Dr Carrie Newbold discussing the endocannabinoid system, Dr Gull Herzberg presenting on the entourage effect, and Cannatrek cultivation leading hand and integrated pest management specialist Madelyn Ouwerkerk explaining a day in the life of a cannabis grower.

Day one includes a talk by California-based Canna-Centers Wellness and Education medical director Dr Bonnie Goldstein on epilepsy and the use of cannabinoids in children. There will also be a Q&A with cannabis Doctors Orit Holtzman, Rohan Reddy, Jamie Rickord, John Teh and Teresa Towpik.

Second day speakers include FreshLeaf Analytics principal consultant Juno Wilson discussing the latest industry developments and consultant Emily Rigby explaining the genetics and breeding of medicinal cannabis.

It will also include a presentation on the barriers to entry into the Australian market for producers and suppliers from Evergreen Pharmacare chairman Tristan Hyodo and a presentation on the lessons learned in 30 years of cannabis prescribing by Society of Cannabis Clinicians founding member and past-president Dr Jeffrey Hergenrather.
