The full program has been announced for the Australian Cannabis Summit later this month with Greens senator David Shoebridge and Wilfred Cannabis CEO Jason Gann joining the line-up.
Gann is an award-winning actor, writer and producer best known for creating and performing the title character in stoner comedy series Wilfred.
In 2019, he launched celebrity cannabis brand Wilfred Cannabis in California, and in 2020 launched Wilfred Hemp and CBD, now shipping to most US states.
He said: “I’m excited to share my experiences in the US cannabis industry over the past four years, to exchange ideas, and work together towards ending negative stigmas associated with cannabis use as we enter a new era of less restrictive laws in Australia.”
Meanwhile, Shoebridge will be discussing the Greens’ national plan to legalise cannabis in 2023.
The free online event will take place on October 28-29, with a spotlight on breaking the stigma surrounding medicinal cannabis consumption.
