Australian Natural Therapeutics Group (ANTG) has received a A$1.38 million NSW government grant to help upgrade and expand its Armidale cultivation and manufacturing facility.
The firm said the funding, delivered through the NSW Regional Development Trust, will support infrastructure improvements to “strengthen product quality, operational reliability and export-ready capability”.

ANTG will contribute a further $5.55m, bringing the total project to almost $7m.
Among the planned works are improved greenhouse systems, enhanced post-harvest environments, and advanced processing equipment.
The investment will create 20 jobs, ANTG said.
Chief executive Matt Cantelo said the grant endorsed the Armidale site’s long-term role in the company’s growth and its plans to scale production for international markets.
“This investment is a milestone not only for ANTG, but for the future of Australia’s medicinal cannabis sector,” he said.
“It recognises the world-class capability that exists right here in Armidale, a regional facility producing some of the best, evidence-backed medicinal cannabis products in the world.
“As we scale production and build a skilled pipeline of local talent, we are helping ensure that Australian patients, and patients globally, continue to access safe, premium, research-driven medicines.”
NSW minister for regional New South Wales Tara Moriarty praised ANTG for its “incredible work” in providing “safe, high-quality medicinal cannabis for patients who need it”.
“By supporting this company we are also supporting the New England region in diversification of crops and industries to help grow economic resilience.”
