Australian Natural Therapeutics Group (ANTG) has confirmed the appointment of Helen Kapalos as director of communications and community as exclusively revealed by Cannabiz.
The award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist quit her communications role with Cannatrek after six months prior to joining ANTG.
Her new role will cover communications strategy and campaigns, stakeholder engagement, developing social policy and continuing her advocacy work for patients.
ANTG CEO Matt Cantelo said: “Helen’s appointment is another win for the team at ANTG. She is a highly regarded broadcaster whose efforts to break down the stigma about plant-based medicine continue to positively influence communities everywhere.”
The former broadcaster directed, produced and wrote medicinal cannabis documentary a Life of its Own in 2015 which is still available on streaming platform Binge.
Kapalos said: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at ANTG and see this role as an extraordinary opportunity to increase awareness through education and advocacy. I want to help bring clarity to an important conversation about our healthcare.”
