Australian Natural Therapeutics Group (ANTG) commercial lead, Beatriz Garabelli, is exiting the business after more than four years with the company.
Announcing her departure on LinkedIn, she said: “The time has come to step away.” She did not elaborate on the reasons.
Garabelli joined ANTG from Tilray in August 2020 as business operations manager. She was promoted to general manager of commercial the following May before taking an executive commercial role in May 2023.
She spent nearly three years at Tilray after a near 14-year career with IBM.
Writing on LinkedIn, Garabelli said: “After four incredible years shaping ANTG and its brand, the time has come for me to step away.
“Reflecting on my time here, I am deeply proud of the impact we’ve made — educating countless doctors and helping them understand the power of this remarkable medicine.”
She said she was “immensely proud” of her team and their “unwavering dedication”, praising their “resilience and commitment”.
“[They have] not only propelled ANTG forward, but have also played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of the industry in Australia and New Zealand,” Garabelli said. “This chapter has been unforgettable, and while I’m stepping away, I look forward to seeing how we can all continue to grow and evolve the industry together.”
Garabelli said her intention is to remain in the medicinal cannabis industry.
ANTG confirmed her departure, but declined to comment further, adding there will be “no replacement for the role”.
