Medicinal Cannabis Industry Australia (MCIA) has announced campaigner Amazon John Easterling will be a keynote speaker at its ACannabis conference next month.

Easterling is a long-standing champion of the benefits of plant-based medicine who, together with his late wife Olivia Newton-John, were instrumental in campaigning for greater access to medicinal cannabis.

He will speak on day two of ACannabis in a session titled ‘Cannabis in Australia. What’s Next.’

MCIA chair Peter Crock said: “Knowing how useful medicinal cannabis was in helping manage her own wellbeing, Olivia, with John by her side, was always incredibly generous with her time and support in ensuring patients had all options available to them in dealing with cancer.”

ACannabis takes place at Melbourne Park’s Centrepiece venue on March 14-15 and Cannabiz members are entitled to a 15% discount on all ticket types.
