Renowned AFL coach and former player Alastair Clarkson will be a keynote speaker at Medicinal Cannabis Industry Australia’s ACannabis conference in March 2024.

One of the game’s most successful coaches, Clarkson led Hawthorn to the premiership on four occasions between 2005 and 2021. He became senior coach of North Melbourne in 2023 where he also enjoyed a successful playing career.

He has strong views on the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and opioids and uses his profile to encourage people to talk to their healthcare professional about medicinal cannabis as a treatment option. 

Clarkson uses the medicine himself to treat back pain and arthritis and also sits on Levin’s Health’s sports advisory board. He will be interviewed on stage by Levin’s managing director Mark Brayshaw, himself a former AFL footballer and administrator.
