Cronos Australia will begin trading on the Australian Stock Exchange as Vitura Health Limited on Wednesday after formerly changing its company name.

Shareholders overwhelmingly supported the proposal to drop the Cronos brand at the firm’s annual general meeting in November.

Management believed the name had become less relevant since merging with CDA Health in late 2021, with Cronos Group’s shareholding shrinking from 31% to 10%.

Rodney Cocks: confident the new name will be well received by stakeholders

The company’s ASX code will change from CAU to VIT.

Chief executive Rodney Cocks said: “I am excited and proud to announce the company’s new name and corporate branding which embodies the direction we are taking and we are confident will be well received by all of our stakeholders, including our employees.

“We look forward to continuing to grow under the new Vitura Health brand and delivering on our strategic objectives for our patients, prescribers, pharmacists, suppliers and shareholders.”

All the company’s brands remain unchanged.

In an announcement to the ASX, Cronos said it believed the integration with CDA Health would be “deepened by the group adopting a new name that reflects the vision, values and aspirations of the merged company, rather than being tied to a name that more closely reflected the Cronos Australia pre-merger business”.

  1. The announcement also showed the growth of products available on CanView since the last annual presentation. Was 169 – Now 200. Maybe they will also add LGP’s new prescribers and mushroom medicines when available.
