Stephen Murphy is the founder and CEO of Prohibition Partners, a media, data and events company focused on the global cannabis industry.

Since 2017, he has worked with policymakers, investors and operators to support the development of regulated cannabis markets, particularly across Europe. Through Prohibition Partners, he has built platforms including Business of Cannabis and Cannabis Europa, which bring together key stakeholders to share insights, build partnerships and support industry growth.

Stephen is also co-founder of Shortwave Life Sciences, a company focused on developing new approaches to mental health treatment, reflecting the growing overlap between cannabis, pharmaceuticals and wider life sciences.

His work focuses on market intelligence, communications and business development within regulated industries, helping organisations better understand and navigate emerging markets.
