Rhys is a drug policy expert with a background in political economy and a focus on medicinal and adult-use cannabis.

Rhys has worked as a consultant, analyst, and communicator for corporate, academic, and non-governmental organisations in the cannabis sector since 2016.

He is currently a policy officer at Penington Institute and he also sits on the non-executive advisory board of the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics at the University of Sydney.
