Dr Thomas Arkell is a research fellow at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. His research aims to better understand how cannabis impacts driving and cognition, what factors modulate cannabis’ effects, and its potential as a therapeutic aid.

Dr Arkell is widely regarded as a leading voice on the topic of cannabis and driving, and he currently chairs the International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety’s cannabis and driving working group.
