In July 2020, entrepreneur Kim McKay expanded her business interests to co-found
Cannabiz with Martin Lane, the co-founder and former CEO of Mumbrella.

The venture arrived at a tipping point for the legal cannabis sector in Australia and New Zealand. Cannabiz is the only place for news, networking and business solutions. It is all about driving the growth of the legal cannabis industry.

With its establishment, Kim is leading the shift to new, agile, high-value consulting agencies. She works with a clear understanding of the ‘new normal’ - new ways of working, new ways of connecting to customers and creating business value, for the cannabis industry and beyond.

Underpinning Kim’s deep business and commercial pragmatism is an understanding of the power of creativity to connect and engage.

Cannabiz is one of several key platforms that harness her business consulting expertise. She is founder, director and lead expert at Klick X, one of Asia-Pacific’s most-awarded creative and communications agencies, and also hosts a short-form podcast Straight Forward with Kim McKay.

Kim is a board member of the Australian chapter of the International Advertising Association, a juror for the Mumbrella CommsCon and Travel Marketing Awards, featured at the 2019 Travel Marketing Conference and was keynote speaker at the 2018 Global Tourism Summit in Hawaii.
