

Chris Colter
Chris Colter is chief strategy and production officer at Initiative Australia. He has more than a decade of media experience across Australia and APAC, and has been instrumental in bringing some of the most famous and effective campaigns in recent times to market.
Colter has been ahead of the curve at every step of his career, with a string of awards to his name, from winning the IAA Big Idea competition while still at university, to bringing home gold at the Global Cannes Young Lions Competition, to winning over eight Cannes Lions (including a Titanium for Tourism Australia’s Dundee).
His collaborative approach to communications planning has also been extensively recognised locally, in Australia, from B&T’s 30under30, to Campaign Asia's Young Achiever, Strategic Brand Planner of the Year and 40under40 winner.
His work has been noted outside of Australia too. He now sits on Initiative’s global product committee revolutionising the agency’s entire planning process across 85 markets and is also on a four-person team tasked with reinventing the agency’s planning product globally.
Colter was also instrumental in helping bring to life the deep-dive study called Culture Shock: Cannabusiness, which promoted the positive and progressive growth of cannabis to marketers, advertisers and media companies to influence change.
