The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is investigating a number of complaints alleging breaches of medicinal cannabis advertising rules.
The Therapeutic Goods Act states medicinal cannabis cannot be advertised direct to the public nor information published which promotes its use or supply. It is also illegal to reference serious medical conditions in advertising claiming a therapeutic benefit without prior approval by the TGA.
