Dan is an eight-year veteran of the cannabis industry – having recently served over four years as the CEO of Tasmanian Botanics and another four-plus years across two large publicly traded North American cannabis companies. With Tasmanian Botanics he was able to transform the company from a pre-revenue R&D-stage firm into the largest fully vertically integrated cannabis company in Australia.

Dan is a six-time Cannabiz Award winner - Cultivator of the Year in 2024, Company of the Year and Manufacturer of the year in 2024 and 2025 with Tasmanian Botanics, and Business Leader of the year in 2025.

Originally from Canada, Dan has an honours degree from the University of Guelph followed by roles across tech, telecom and retail. The common thread being his ability to identify and unlock complex growth opportunities. After his stint with Tasmanian Botanics, Dan is now spending more time in Canada – consulting within the Australian and global cannabis markets and spending time with his young family.
